EVE-NG – Load IOL images

EVE-NG – Load IOL images

After you download the IOL files (previous post) you will need a python script to generate the licences that will allow you emulate these images in eve.

Here is the script:

//pastebin.com/embed_iframe/DpVpUZg5

Copy this code into a text file and call it script.py or other name you like with the py extension.

Now using WinSCP or some other scp client upload the images and the python script into EVE to the folder /opt/unetlab/addons/iol/bin.

Next, on EVE console, inside the folder where you uploaded the images and the script execute the command:

root@eve-ng:~# python2 script.py
hostid=001e0001, hostname=eve-ng, ioukey=9f1234

Add the following text to ~/.iourc:
[license]
eve-ng = 1234567890abcdef;

Next, create the iourc file with the provided content.

Then execute the following command and enjoy.

/opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions
Video

Until the next post, stay good.

  9. Hi,

    I am not able to go into the directory \wrappers to fix permission. When I enter cd /opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions from the root, its saying “No such directory found” but when I issue ls -a command I can see wrappers from root@eve-ng:/# /opt/unetlab. Any idea how to fix this issue?
